In November of 2018 and in February of 2019, I participated in the workshop "Exploring New Video Formats" hosted by LABattoir Project, a social engaged machine for the production of culture (Thessaloniki) in collaboration with HyperWerk Institute for Postindustrial Design (Basel) and Goethe Institut's (Berlin) FREIRAUM Projekt, a pan-european festival joining cultural and civil society institutions, thinkers, artists and audiences from Europe and beyond, exploring the issue “What is freedom in Europe today? Where is it endangered? How do we strengthen it?”. The result was four documentary films exploring the meaning of freedom in today's Europe in spatial terms. The "Natasha & Eva" film explores the lives of two trans* women, Natasha's from Pakistan and Eva's from Greece and highlights the obstacles the two women face as trans* subjects in Greece, Europe. The films were screened at the FREIRAUM Projekt exhibition in Berlin, at the FREIRAUM Projekt exhibition in Thessaloniki and our film at Thessaloniki Queer Arts Festival also.
